Portfolio Review

Supporting the architecture community by exposing students to the profession and offering them support with professional development on portfolio reviews

Portfolio Review Sessions

These one-to-one online portfolio reviews are intended for students who are interested in architecture and the profession. This can be suitable for students or early year architects that want professional feedback on organizing their pieces, their content, presentation formats, ideas to improve, creating a portfolio, or simply asking questions about their work. This time can also be used to ask questions about the profession and career development. We don’t guarantee placement into universities, higher education or practices, we simply provide guidance on best approaches to help you succeed. We recommend a sample of 8 to 10 pieces to present during the session.

What types of reviews do you offer?

We offer two types of sessions. One is to support those with a portfolio and one is for those who are in need of developing a portfolio. If there is something more specific or something you would like to focus on such as creating a CV we can tailor these to your needs. Please note we don’t write CV’s. Get in touch if you are not certain which session is is best for you.

What will my experience be like?

Following the registration process and booking you will receive an automated confirmation email with an invitation to join an online meeting on the day and time of choice. We will begin by evaluating how best we can support your needs and then carefully review your portfolio. During this time we can either develop a strategy to better your portfolio or proceed with questions, feedback, and guidance. Depending on your needs these can be more than one session as a follow up is always recommended. As a guidance we will not recommend unnecessary extra sessions even if requested.

What happens after the review?

At the end of the review you will have gained professional feedback helping you make more confident decisions on improving your work that best represents you and/or the direction to take it. You will have a better understanding on developing a portfolio, its key parts, editing pieces down, and organizing your work into a professional format. This will help you communicate your ideas clearly, present work creatively, and show your imagination and creative potential for your professional development. We are always here to support you and look forward to hearing your success stories.

What others say?

The amount of effort and dedication one puts to help me improve is inspiring, stating good quality and adding in what could also work is a great way to encourage students.
