Multidisciplinary Portfolio Review Workshop
Reimagine your future in the creative industry, how you can think differently and create change. Join our multidisciplinary portfolio review workshop to meet a diverse team from architecture, art, photography, and graphic design who want to share their knowledge and experiences with you. Our portfolio review workshop offers one-to-one in person sessions intended for students who are interested in architecture and those within various creative professions developing personal projects. This can be suitable for architects and non architects that want quick professional feedback on organizing their pieces, their content, presentation formats, ideas to improve, or simply asking questions about their work. Perhaps there are personal projects you are working on—book designs, art installations, photography works, etc. This can be your chance to present it to the reviewers within the various industries.
Portfolio required and we recommend a sample of 10 pieces to bring to the workshop for review.
*Priority will be given to students
Format
These are 20 minute one-to-one in person review sessions. Each participant will have the opportunity to receive 2 reviews from different reviewers. The workshop consits of presentations, portfolio reviews, and a networking session. An email will be sent with full itinerary prior to the workshop.
Participants
For architects and non architects interested in gaining feedback on their work. This is intended for 6th form, end of year university students to early year professionals.
Tickets
Registration is essential with limited spaces. These are available by clicking on the button below. After registering you will be asked to send samples of your work to an email provided. Be sure to secure your space early as we may not be able to accept everyone once we sellout. If we do we will keep you on a waiting list for the next immediate opening.

The ZHF foundation was founded in 2013 by the globally recognized architect, designer, and artist Zaha Hadid. ZHF aims to preserve and make publicly available the full range of Zaha’s extraordinary output, and more broadly to advance research, learning, and the enjoyment of related areas of modern architecture, art, and design.
The main entrance is located on Bowling Green lane via a black metal gate with the signage ZHF Zaha Hadid Foundation. Click the buzzer to let reception open the gate.

Rafael Portillo (Architecture)
Founder Artificial Kreativity, UK.
Rafael founded Artificial Kreativity as a design-led architecture studio merging technology, art, and architecture, with the aim to advance society. With his studio, he is supporting the creative community with the Cross Pollinator Project. It aims to make architecture accessible to everyone and expose students to the profession through a multi-disciplinary approach. For over 10 years, he has reviewed portfolios for architecture candidates applying to Cornell University’s architecture school in New York. Prior to launching his studio, he worked with Zaha Hadid Architects. His career spans over 18 years of designing iconic buildings at multiple scales ranging from cultural buildings, FIFA stadiums, masterplans, commercial retail, and private residential designs. Key projects comprise Pierres Vives, Chartres Parc des Expo, Symbiotic Villa, and Diyar Town Center Masterplan. Design interests stem from music, art, landscape, fashion, creativity, and technology. He is a native of Los Angeles, received his BArch from Cornell University, MArch from the Architectural Association, and sits on the board of trustees with London Play.
Peter Murray OBE (Architecture)
Co-Founder NLA | Founder of London Festival of Architecture, UK.
Peter Murray OBE trained as an architect but has spent his career writing about and curating architecture rather than practicing it. He soon realised that architectural training provided a good grounding for tackling a wide range of creative careers. He was editor of Building Design and RIBA Journal; he started Blueprint magazine; he set up an architecture and real estate marketing company that grew to being a global market leader; he curated exhibitions for the Royal Academy, started the London Festival of Architecture, set up the cycling charity Club Peloton, co-founded New London Architecture, wrote books: The Saga of Sydney Opera House, The Leadenhall Building, Architecture and Commerce. He was adjunct Professor at IE University in Madrid. He is currently Chairman of the Temple Bar Trust and a campaigner for active travel.
Maria Loreto Flores (Architecture)
Associate Director at Zaha Hadid Architects, UK.
Chilean-born architect, Maria Loreto, manages multi-disciplinary teams that specialize in complex geometries and construction for projects in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. She focuses on large scale projects comprising masterplans, towers, expos, and convention centres. Built work includes the luxury Morpheus Hotel in Macau, China; Pierres Vives, France; and d’Leedon Residential Complex, Singapore. She is part of the steering committee of Women in Architecture UK and previously taught workshops and design studios at the Universidad de Chile. She has been a visiting critic in architecture schools in both Chile and the UK including the Architectural Association and Bartlett at UCL.
Graham Modlen (Architecture)
Founder Architect Graham Modlen, UK
Graham has over 30 years experience working with acclaimed offices as a project architect and designer. This includes director of Zaha Hadid Architects where he was involved in her early career from the 90’s and an associate at Austin-Smith: Lord in London. Key projects include the Sheikh Zayed Bridge and Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi. As an architect and artist with his own practice Graham continues to explore design through a sketching process. Collaborations include urban scale projects with local architects in Alicante, Spain and residential development projects in South London with Atelier SET. He is on the board of trustees with Daw’an Architecture Foundation, whose charity work is restoring the mud brick architecture of Yemen. Currently he is the first year design tutor in the architecture school at the University of Greenwich.
Chris Wight (Art)
Ceramic Artist, UK.
For over 25 years, Chris has devoted his career to working with bone china and seeking new modes of expression with this highly traditional material. As a student, he trained with designers and modelers from Wedgwood and Royal Doulton. With vessel forms, sculpture, panels, and screens, his pieces span gallery, interior, and architectural scales. These often combine new technologies with hand made production methods. His latest work focuses on the unique sound properties of bone china as he develops a large ceramic Soundscape with Grammy Award winning percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie. Chris’s work has been shown at Sotheby’s, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, Bernardaud, Garth Clark as well as numerous exhibitions in Japan and Korea. In June this year his ‘Portland Arcana’ installation will feature at the Crocker Museum of Art in California.
Dagmar Binsted (Architecture)
Associate at Scott Brownrigg Architects, UK.
With a passion about the future of the architecture profession, Dagmar is involved with apprenticeship programs to teaching professional practice and mentoring students within Scott Brownrigg Architects, RIBA (Royal Institute of Architects), and Oxford Brookes University. This includes being part of the initial start-up of the Architecture Apprenticeship Trailblazer group, at Scott Brownrigg Architects. It emphasises in-practice experience by combining work-based learning with academic training. Professionally she has worked on international projects ranging from commercial development to student housing, and large scale refurbishments. She was the chair of SLSA (South London Society of Architects—RIBA Southwest and Southeast) and served on the Practice Committee and Education Trust Fund Committee as part of her role as a member of the RIBA council and RIBA London regional council. Raised in Transylvania (Romania) and Bavaria (Germany) she received her architecture degree, Dipl-Ing, at the Technical University of Munich and has worked in Germany, Luxembourg, and the UK. As a student her work experience included a three month internship at the Chinati Foundation in Texas (USA).
Eric Wong (Architecture | Illustration)
University of Greenwich, UK
Eric’s work and research combines anime and architecture to explore the experience of the immersive digital environment. He has collaborated with director Mamoru Hosoda to create the virtual world of “U” in the movie Belle. He developed a tessellating metropolis of skyscrapers to contrast the magical surrealism of the characters. His work has been published in Cannes Film Festival, RIBA Journal, Dezeen, Design Boom, Seoul Biennale, LA + Imagination, BBC, Daily Politics, and many other international publications. His professional experience as an architect includes working at AHMM on key projects: BRE Innovation Hub, New City Court, and Elizabeth House. Currently he is the design tutor for year 2 and 3 at the University of Greenwich Architecture. He studied at Central St. Martins, received his BArch from Cardiff University, and Masters from the Bartlett School of Architecture.
